“The Legacy”, Ephraim Asili’s first characteristic movie, superbly abandons the style to ask questions on group, artwork and black liberation.

The experimental movie opens with the story of Julian (Eric Lockley), a younger black man who lately inherited his grandmother’s dwelling in West Philadelphia.
