Obituary of Phillip Clarke (1956 – 2021) – Mobile, AL

Phillip E. Clarke, Jr. was born November 14, 1956 to Phillip Sr. and Isabel Clarke in the quaint fishing village of Bayou La Batre, Alabama.
He loved his job at the DuPont factory in Moss Point, where he made countless friends. But the joy of his life was his wife Janith Clarke and three children, Stacey Clarke (Harold) Windham, Tammy (David) Powers and Oliver Bart Clarke. With her grandchildren Katie (Andy) Hamilton, Victorian Blocker, Josette Clarke, Antonio Clarke and Natalyn Powers. And great-grandchildren Myla and Hayden Lane.
City historian and blacksmith, he loved to study and share the genealogy and history of the city he loved. In addition to weaving stories from the past and some of his own creations.
God brought him home to join his loved ones on October 6, 2021. He joins his wife, Janith Clarke, his father, Phillip Clarke Sr, his brothers, Robert L Clarke and Daniel L Clarke. And will be sadly missed by his mother, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters Vita Clarke, Elinor (Jimmy) Edwards and Sarah (Scott) Bosarge, countless nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends in the community he loved.
Visitations will be at the San Souci Baptist Church on Tuesday at 11:00 am, followed by a noon service and interment at Oddfellows Cemetery.
